Lennox SLP99 Furnace & EL18KSLV Heat Pump Installation
Lennox SLP99 Furnace & EL18KSLV Heat Pump Installation
Tek Climate completed this residential Vancouver HVAC upgrade with a Lennox variable-capacity furnace and compact side-discharge heat pump. The project record and photos below are from the same completed ServiceTitan job.
Equipment installed
- Lennox SLP99UH070XV36B furnace
- Lennox EL18KSLV-036 side-discharge heat pump
- Lennox CK40CT-30B-71 coil
- Lennox S40 thermostat
- Equipment interface and refrigerant-detection components documented in the job record
Installation scope
The ServiceTitan job record documents a furnace and heat-pump installation with controls, venting, refrigeration work and airflow-related work. The mechanical room was noted as tight, and the return-air drop required modification as part of the project.
The completed furnace photo verifies the installed Lennox furnace in the mechanical space. Customer names, exact address, pricing, private paperwork and serial-number close-ups are intentionally excluded.
Why a side-discharge heat pump can help
The EL18KSLV uses a compact side-discharge format that can work well where conventional top-discharge equipment is difficult to place. Final equipment selection still depends on the home’s heating and cooling requirements, electrical capacity, clearances and installation conditions.
Rebate documentation
The job notes state that FortisBC rebate documentation was to be submitted and identify equipment, thermostat and venting photos required for that process. This case study does not claim that a rebate was approved or paid because that outcome has not been independently verified in the records used here.

Frequently asked questions
Can a heat pump work with a gas furnace?
Yes. A properly designed dual-fuel system can use a heat pump for heating and cooling while retaining a gas furnace as part of the heating system. Controls, airflow, equipment matching and commissioning all matter.
Why use a side-discharge heat pump?
Side-discharge equipment can be useful where outdoor space or clearances make a conventional top-discharge unit harder to place.
